So I finished my training class at noon today and I came home. I'm gloriously sitting on my couch all alone with my cat enjoying some daytime tv and time alone.

Anyone else LOVE it when you end up with the afternoon at home alone?

How old do you think a person should be before t hey stay home all night alone (parents go out of town on business or stay in a hotel downtown after attending a wedding, etc.)?
I let my daughter stay home alone at 17. My son was almost 20 before we left him alone!

(Female, Who Cares?) asked:

Parents of teens...Do you have a problem with letting your teens spend the night at another teens house when no parent will be home all night? This is two streets over and we live in a quiet neighborhood. Actually, I just found out that this girl has a 20 year old sister who will be there later, but I know how I was when I was 20; I may have felt mature, but I was certainly no motherly type!. My girls think I am SO strick, but I have no idea what is going on without adult supervision! This Dad is on guard duty for the night, and it's common for him to leave her while he's out. Is this common now a days?

Update: April 18, 2008.
Thanks parents for letting me know there are still parents out there who feel like we need to clamp down on our teens. It's not about depriving them of fun; in fact, I have allowed them to stay until 11:00, which I think is more than fair.

Ever just want to shut yourself from the world? I could easily live in a locked house for years alone as long as I had food and water and all that.

Dying alone is not as bad as it sounds.

What's with all this Google-ing? I don't even get this much info when I google my OWN name, let alone someone elses. Is there that much info out on Google alone, or do you think people are paying for subscriptions to those private investigation sites for all of this information??
