Romance

Romance is for courting, woo'ing, trying to obtain a woman. I believe in romance strongly, it is a great way for a guy to impress a woman. Once feelings start to develop and a serious relationship begins, romance becomes less important, but still necessary.

Now you are the point of marriage. You can skip the romance, you already have her. There is no point in romancing a woman that is already won over. Save your time and money for more practical things such as rent and other bills.

If you take one thing away from this, let it be this:
Romance if you are single, Stop romancing after you're married.

Update: June 23, 2007.
All the excellent answers have made me revise my opinion. It was foolish to suggest a complete stop. It is wise to "Cut down on the romance when you are married", I would say twice a year is good enough, Valentines and Anniversaries. In between, say once a month, saying "I love you" or leaving a note is acceptable.

Is romance dead? Are there any men out ...

Is romance dead? Are there any men out there that still believe in romance? Any ladies out there lucky enough to have a romantic man? I'm starting to feel like everything is about sex and the romance has gone...and it makes me sad.

How Romantic Are You?

How Romantic Are You?

Pink bows, Red Hearts, candy: these timeless symbols of love remind us that lovers continue to thrive on romance.- But if romance could be packaged, it might be "This state of mind may be hazardous to your health," for many a romance is dissolved in the bubbly state of infatuation.

According to a report which independently studied thousands of couples in love, a relationship requires some romance or else it will dry up. It's a matter of striking a balance between romance and realism that determines whether your love will endure. SO-

Romance....

What's romance? Must it be serendipitous? Or can romance be planned? Is it still romantic if someone does something KNOWING what effect it will have on you? Is it romance when a guy gives you flowers because he knows that it's your favourite? Or is it romance when he 'happens' to give you flowers and they 'happen' to be your favourite?

What if you meet a guy. A cassanova for lack of better terminology. He knows what to say, he knows what to do. And he knows how to push all the right buttons to make you melt. Is it still romantic if he felt nothing behind those actions?

Is it romantic if he did it for his amusement?

What kind of romance do men want?

I saw another question that asked "Do men want romance?" I think the answer is yes, but perhaps a different kind of romance than a woman would want.
So, how does a woman romance a man??

Lost that Loving Feeling

I have been with jen for almost 3yrs now and there is no more romance. I love her more than anything in the world and (wanted to marry her) have not been paying much attention to her because we have been fighting lately. No sex, no romance, no fun anymore. She is distraught over this and poured her heart out to me. I could not tell her how I feel because I don't want it to end. I am her best friend and vice versa, but I have a group of single friends that i have been going out with and she has none and also does not like mine so it's hard to go out together. All I can picture is her crying face like I ripped the heart out of her chest and it's killing me just the same. CAN YOU EVER GET THE ROMANCE BACK OR IS IT OVER.

My girlfriend seems to have no area for romance. Is there a way to break her out of this or no?

When it comes to romance, my girlfriend has no interest it seems like. I tried taking her to the beach one time at nite with the sound of the ocean and the moon glaring off the ocean. And it had no effect on her what so ever. And when I ask what she likes for romance she says she don't know and acts like there is nothing. Is there a way to break her from this or no? And I will add that she is a major tomboy!
