I was reading the top 10 this morning and I find it apalling how many people judge other people without knowing them.

Referring to the assumption that that all single moms are uneducated, drama queens who make "bad choices." It seems that most men wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole.

Why is it that when someone makes a racial stereotype everybody gets fired up and angry but when someone makes a gender stereotype it is o.k.?

Not all single moms ended up that way on purpose or by "bad choices." Why do the majority of men on here look down on them, they are people too, I know some childless women that have way more drama than a single mom could ever imagine having but no one condemns them, why?

Y'all talk about single moms like they are some lower form of life, do you think that is fair? In fact the prevailing attitude seems to be that they are only good for a quick f**k and that's it, why?

I'm with you. I voted with my heart and life and married a single mom.

The problem is that we've been so horrifically sensitized by the media that we react to certain issues as if we were programmed. For example, the PM of France last week made a public statement that France's polygamy law had created a generation of children that had been insufficiently raised. He was publically castigated for uttering a "racist" statement. Now tell me, what has polygamy to do with race? Not a thing, really, but that didn't stop the knee-jerk thinkers from condemning him. We have to do OUR OWN THINKING or we're just puppets dancing on somebody else's strings.

The post was asking for peoples first impressions and that's what people gave. I'm not saying it's right but people were just giving their honest thoughts.
