We dont use that term in UK, we perhaps talk of a fling or a bit on the side.i think benefits is a bit of a dirty word over here associated with the welfare culture but i have to admit it is a graphic term.I,m divorced so outside the definition

While I was married, I never did. I had a LOT of opportunity.
But the ex had a LOT of "friends" over the years.
Yeah...they qualify.
