I used to have little stuffed dwarfs on top of my bookcase when I worked. I always told the employees that whichever one was on my desk, would be the mood I was in for the day. If I had a cold, I would put out Sneezy; a rough night, out would come Sleepy, etc. I usually tried to keep Grumpy there. Amazing how it limited the number of employees who came in with stupid-ass questions or requests. Since I have a Ph.D., I went with Doc for my avatar although it was Grumpy for a while.

my posts and answers, without letting anyone know me. I have
said some personal things on this site, and I don't want someone
to see me at the mall and know these things about me.

I like having a picture of my own face. I chose to do that because I like the Idea of people having the chance to link my personality with a my real face. I would like to think it makes my pm's and posts more personal.

My avatar is a photograph of smoke from burning incense and, just happens to resemble the female form. The photographer plays with color and technique and I enjoy his work.

Basically... I think it’s freakin cool and sexy

He is Zaraki Kenpachi. The strongest Capt of 12 court guards. He got his name from his unbelievable fighting ability and strength. His names means "no matter how many times you cut him, he will never fall"

As a martial artist myself I want to garner that kind of respect also I really love fighting and so does he.

Screenname: angelita

My avatar is a picture of Hello Kitty as an angel. I love cats and hello kitty. Also, my screen name is Angelita, which is Spanish for "little angel." So, my avatar is a representation of a cute little angel who happens to be a cute kitty. Cute and sweet, just like me. But if you piss me off, I get "catty": "Meow!"

When I first met my s/o, he asked me why I chose glaciers for my Avatar (previous one).

I told him that I didn't really chose it for a particular reason, I just thought it looked nice and I said that what I really wanted was a path in a forest, but I couldn't find one.

Almost a year later, we were hiking and he took a picture of 'a path in a forest' specifically to use as my avatar. I didn’t know what he was doing at the time, I just thought he was taking a nice, scenic photo. He sent it to me later and told me why he took it. I was thrilled!

If someone checks it out closely enough, you'll see that I am actually in it, faded off way in the background.

It was a very thoughtful gesture and he is also a great photographer, obviously. ;-)

My avatar is the logo of the Libertarian Party. I chose this because in times like this, when people are so discouraged by the same crap all of the time from the bipartisan system we have damned ourselves too, we need to show people there are other options. Though, admittedly, the candidate for the LP in this upcoming election leaves MUCH to be desired, in general many of the people that I talk to find that they strongly agree with the libertarian party 's platform when they are shown it.

Dont let yourself fall into the same BS that has plagued this country for a century, there are other options out there!!!
