Teeth Aint So Smart

A Creative (Female, New York, 18-21, Student) asked:

Do you still have your wisdom teeth in?

I have all four, but that's probably because only one so far has actually broken the surface, the others are just there being pains in the ass. I think they're shifting the rest of my teeth. My dentist took one look at the one she can see and was like yep, yank that sucker out, even though none of them really hurt. Sometimes I feel tension but they don't hurt. I never went back to get it yanked out. I'd rather wait until she can yank all those f*ckers out, or at least two.

Only two of mine developed. The other two barely broke the surface-no need for removal.

My 18 year olds are coming in sideways, which is causing crowding of her beautiful lower teeth. The dentist said they may rotate up, so I am waiting and hoping. Otherwise, we're talking surgeon and about $3000.00.
If you have dental insurance and can do it now, do it. It would really be a bummer to have to have them out at a time when you don't have the money.

i only got 2 out. my insurance at the time didn't pay for me to get knocked out so i only had novacaine. and believe me, that was the worse, i felt, saw, smelled, everything! i never in my life was gonna pass out, only that day when i got up the chair. and the pain afterwards was dredful. so i'm keeping my other 2 until they don't fit in my mouth! no problems with the remaining too and i'm keeping them!

I had mine coming in sideways and they did shift my teeth. So much for all the years of orthodontia...

One of the wise ass teeth started to put a hole in the molar next to it, since it was coming in at an angle.

I had all 4 out at once as a result, and the F**ckers wouldn't come out in one piece. They crushed them, pulled them out, piece by piece, and managed to miss a shard of tooth, that imbedded in my jaw and gave me a nice infection, just in time for a job interview. I had one chipmunk cheek, and breath that smelled like death.

I don't know how I got the job, except maybe HR felt bad for me, or knew I'd be at work, no matter what.

Get em all out at once...you don't want to prolong that crap.
And make sure they give you good pain relievers, not just Mortin 800's. AND an antibiotic script, just in case.

I had all four of mind taken out just over 20 yrs ago. I was one of the lucky ones, it only took the dentist 20 mins to pull all four of them.

Why don't you just get them all cut out? Mine never came through and they just cut them out when I got braces...freaking 20 something years ago.

I still have mine, but my teeth are straight as can be. I've never had braces so I never experienced the "wisdom teeth" pain. My gf did. They knocked her out. Her insurance wouldn't pay for that (knocking her out...bastards!), so I paid for it. I heard it's painful, so I tried to make it as easy as possible. She was on cloud 9 for a week lol. She couldn't talk too much. That was the quietest week ever LMAO. JK. Don't act like you're not laughing lol.
