Have you ever done something incredibly stupid, then never got a chance to apologize to the person you hurt? How do you deal with the guilt and feeling that your stupid act may have been the reason for the non-communication.

I am a huge believer in what is done is done, you can not unring a bell, you do EVERYTHING in your power to apologize and then make a deal with yourself to let it go. It is hard and I struggle, but we are all human

Yes I have, to a wonderful woman, that I hurt so bad. I haven't seen her since and often wonder how she and her situation has turned out. Time eases the guilt feelings...

Yes, I did something so stupid about 2 wks ago that ruined a friendship (I think) I have not seen the other person since. I think they are avoiding me so I have no way of apologizing. I guess I will have a 3rd party pass on my apology. I ruined something and now I am paying the price by suffering for it. Karma
