If you are in a sexless marriage or relationship, may I ask how did it end up that way? How long has it been sexless and why are you still there?

i was.
it just happened. you think it will get better, then you start having kids, and before you know it you are stuck in a situation. so then it becomes very heart wrenching and difficult to let go of the family memories, family ties, and finally say to yourself, i am done. bye. that's why people stay.

Did you ever see the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin? One thing leads to the other, days turn into weeks, weeks - months, and the next thing you know its years. It doesn't happen all at once. Like one day you are now cut off. It's the time between that slowly grows farther and farther apart. Then you start to think that it's just becomes easier to live without than to try to fix things. As in the movie American Beauty, one day you just wake up and realize than you've been asleep for the past fifteen years.
