How far into a relationship does the infatuation period wear off? Some may say that is never does, that is probably because you chose wisely. For others I feel like around six to nine months in we start to feel more settled and can tell if things are going to work out on a long-term basis or not.... - Asked by Male, 29-35 |

It seems to me the infatuation wears off around months 4-7. If someone is putting on their best face, they can't maintain it much longer than that. Eventually they'll let their guard down and all of the not so good/mediocre stuff will surface. Even if they are just being themselves, the more you get to know of someone, the less exciting it is which is major part of the whole infatuation thing. I've never seen that go beyond 7mths for anyone. For some it may but to me, I haven't seen it.

it all depends of the two involved and if their relationship is a public one or an off the screen one. why ? because if others get to see the details of your relationship and have a say in it then you will be inclined to be more realistic in between the walls or lets call it intimacy and so the blunders wear off sooner
