EXPRESS YOURSELF MY GAYS...Some of my Gays are pushing for Marriage while others are pushing for Civil Union... which one would satisfy you (if they both come equally with partner recognition for benefits, rights, etc)?????

I don't care as long as it satisfies what gay people are looking to achieve, while at the same time, NOT, repeat NOT opening up litigation for some unthought of cause and affect situatiopn later on in years to come where allowing this right creates more problems....and law suits.

**ALL** marriages are a "civil union" by virtue of being a legally binding contract between two consenting adults. It doesn't matter what name you give it. I don't see why ANY two consenting adults should be banned from joining themselves in such a contract.

Whether we choose to call it civil marriage or civil union, I believe the same term, and the same laws, should apply to both gay and str8 couples. Separate but equal is and has always been a crock. creating a separate status for gay partnerships is discriminatory in and of itself. It implies that theirs is a different kind of love. That's total bullshit. Love is just love. It's a universal human emotion.

I'm not gay so I don't really care if they marry, have a civil union, or just shack up together. If they want marriage just for "benefits and rights", then they are marrying for the wrong reasons.
