Based on the theme of all the crazy posts tonight...I just thought I'd ask your thoughts/opinions on the saying, "We accept the love we think we deserve." - Asked by sunshinehighway, A Thinker, Female, 22-25, New York, Medical / Dental |

Some people think they are worthless so they settle for abusive love. Others think they are a King or Queen and will settle for no one who isn`t prepared to treat them like one. Basically,if you have a sense of self worth you will attract those that will respect you,and if you don`t you won`t.

I think it's probably true. I'm sure there are some manhaters and misogynists around who will say the opposite is true (because obviously THEY deserve all the love in the world and no one is good enough for them), but deeper down they probably know that they deserve no more than what they actually give.
