He loves me, I want to be friends

Last weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary. Problem is, for about the past few months I haven't felt the same way about him. We had a fight back in February and something just changed in me that day. I can't explain it any other way.
My feelings have become much more platonic than romantic. We were intimate on the weekend and I just wanted it over with. Terribly cruel, I know.
Anyway... even though I know I feel this way, I cannot imagine my life without him in it. He is a lovely person and he is still head over heels for me. He has always told me he loves me so much that if we ever broke up he could not see me again, as friends. Do I end it and lose him out of my life for good or stay with him knowing I have a good man, but my feelings are like this? Am I just being selfish?
