Update: October 23, 2009.
So many good books to read. Thanks everyone for the suggestions! :) I highly enjoyed Things Fall Apart, How to Read Literature Like a Professor, The Poisonwood Bible, The Fountainhead, The Canterbury Tales, (one of my personal favorites) ---> The Things They Carried by Tim O' Brian, and there are so many more. :)

So many, desota, where do I even start? :)

-Born to Run - for the athlete or anyone who needs a good dose of inspiration
-Cutting for Stone - for those who like exquisitely well written fiction novels set in exotic foreign places
-Awake in the Wild - for the spiritually-minded outdoors-man interested in incorporating mindfulness meditation into his daily adventures
-Full Catastrophe Living - I think most everyone on this site could use this book :p

Cheers :)

Janet Evanovitch writes slap-dash chik books that are mostly read by males!!! Start with One for the Money! She is one of the most under appreciated comic writers of the past and present century!

Well, I am currently reading the Stran -- which I should finish by this weekend. After I am finish that, I think I will move on to Green by Ted Dekker.

I just recently picked-up Richard Dawkins' The Greatest Show on Earth: The Evidence for Evolution; and I also picked-up Dracula (the new annotated) -- both of which I am uber-excited about.

I would need to know a lot more about the reader and what they like to read about before I could recommend anything. If they are looking to brush up on their economics -- [Laughs] most of them need to -- then, I would say The Return of Depression Economics and the Crisis of 2008 or, The Death of Conservatism, or End the Fed, or The Foreclosure of America, or even House of Cards. If they were interested in fiction, I would recommend picking-up some of Dan Brown's, Dean Koontz's, Faye Kellerman's, James Patterson's, Ted Dekker's or even Terry Goodkind's latest work.

Y The Last Man. It's a teen graphic novel series about an epidemic wiping out every man on earth except one. Truly fascinating.

Hey Sunshine!! :-)

I'm currently reading The Shack.... can't remember the author's name, but it was given to me by a friend and it's pretty interesting so far. Gives alot of answers to pretty much any God qusetions you have- supposedly from the Big Man Himself/Herself...

Just finished Lisey's Story by Stephen King. Kinda still Steve, but you know how he's been doing this slowly but surely metamorphasis into normal literature with an evil or quirky twist? This is kinda like that. Somewhat interesting, but if you don't really love him, then don't do it.
