For those of you who have lost weight and managed to keep it off, would you please give me advice on how to lose weight?

There is no secret to losing weight and maintaining your weight. You have to burn off more calories than you take in..Eating healthy low calorie meals with smaller portions and excercising daily is the way to do it. Rosey.

Baby steps. Lots of small changes. Smart choices. Lifestyles changes for a lifetime.

Such as eating frequent small healthy meals. Breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. This is best for your blood sugar and you won't feel hungry.

Start an exercise program you can do every single day. Walking, simple moves while you watch TV, etc.

Eat less -- move more.

concentration camp

I know it's not politically correct and it's not meant as a joke either...

but it worked for 60 per cent of my relatives.... although they didn't ask to lose weight THAT way or even needed to lose weight at all.

and most perished...

but it's true: less food and a lot of physical activity (hard work) will cause a weight loss

(minus the abuse and murder though)

eat less. worked for me. took off 25 pound in 3 months. basically ate all the same things, except cut my portions in half. if i got a bacon cheese burger with fries, i'd only eat half the burger and half the fries... i'd give away the or throw away rest. What helps with this method is if you eat with a friend who likes the same stuff you do and split the meal.

Go online and research Circuit training. It is a blend of cardio with light weight lifting and it essentially quadruples your workout. Why? Becuase it takes more calories to stay the same weight if you have plenty of muscle on you then everything else. So, when you build muscle and combine it with some good cardio you will need to eat much more to maintain your present body weight. Since you want to lose weight, you can just eat the same (unless your eating habits suck, then cut out fast food, processed food, and microwaved food). Don't worry, you won't become a bodybulder for gaining the muscle, you will just look toned and better.
