Oh it's still out there. My mom gets her allotment of Government Cheese. Imagine, giving the elderly cheese. Is the government trying to kill them off?

LMAO.......You're sooooooooooooooooo bad and yeah I remember being maybe 8-10 years old and my mom would have ME stand in line for the cheese and rice/LMAO...Now that I'm older I think I'll give her a call and tell her what was wrong with her legs back then that she couldn't stand in line for it/LOL

I hated not being in on the Govt Cheese situation. I would hear about it at School and think "well wait a minute. If someone's giving out free cheese, why aren't we in on this". When I asked my family, the answer was "we're poor but not poor enough". Talk about being baffled... anyway, I missed out on the cheese and even as an Adult it still smarts because when people talk about how good it was, I don't have any idea. :(
