What do you think of the shootings in Fort Hood and Orlando? and what do you think will come of it?Unfortunately, I think more anti-muslim sentiment will come from the Fort Hood incident. I think that we will learn how to deal with disgruntled employees better from the Orlando incident. - Asked by poeticlove08, A Thinker, Female, 18-21, Student |

I'll tell you one thing, security will be a whole lot tighter on that base. The ant-Muslim sentiment behind the Fort Hood incident is unfortunate because it was one seriously disturbed individual who REALLY didn't want to go to a war zone who just so happened to be a Muslim. The people who saw the warning signs and didn't do anything are just as much responsible as that nutjob. I also find it interesting that no one was saying Hispanics are dangerous violent people either, when the Orlando shooter had a Hispanic last name.

For a minute I was temporarily insane and tuned into talk radio. The ignorant talk show host suggested there should be a ban on recruiting muslims into the service..WTF...That kind of mentality is insane. Do not forget Timothy Mc Veigh...come ON people..one nutcake Muslim does not make all Muslims nutcakes..

It's pretty normal routine stuff.People have been killing each other since time began. The only difference is today it happens more randomly and for less reason I think due to stress and pressures of the demands on life and from over crowding.

as long as the muslims REFUSE to stand up to their own kind and CONDEMN these CRAZY attacks in the name of their religion, it is only FITTING that anti-muslim sentiment occur.

From what I have read it sounds to me like more attention should have been paid to Hasan since he had a poor evaluation as long ago as Walter Reed. Doesn't sound like someone that should have been counseling others. If he wanted out of the army why didn't he just shoot himself in the foot?? Always amazes me the difference in people that choose to harm others instead of just harming themselves. As for Orlando, people that know him say he is a loser in many ways. He was a marginal employee for the engineering firm and only employed there for a short time. Then he waits two years to do this. I believe the death penalty applies here.

There will be much uncovered about "the good doctor" that will shock and deeply embarrass the pentagon. some of that will be withheld for "security" reasons, and will be filed in the circular trash bin of history. there will be an anti-muslim backlash which will roil the waters for a month or more until some other "situation room" crisis erupts.
