GIVE ADVICE ON FRIENDSHIP

Is your partner your best friend or do you have another also, instead of, etc?

My ex-best friend requested to add me to her LinkedIn network. I know this is trivial but...

I know this is trivial but we stopped being "best friends" due to various reasons. I wanted to remain friends but with less "responsibilities" to her...if you get what I mean. I do know one thing though, she has had "best friends" drop her more than once in her past, so I know it was hard on her. But I don't regret my decision.

She is the one who decided to avoid me and not even say hi and then ultimately to "unfriend" me on Facebook. Hey, if it's her choice, I'm not going to stop her, I can only comply and move on completely. (yes, I see the trivial-ness of all this, but please refrain from answering about that!)

I don't understand why she would want to add me to her network on LinkedIn? Snoop on me? Show me up? If we aren't even on a small talk level, why would we network? It's not like it benefits us because we have the same network just not each other.

I archived her request (thankfully Linkedin has that function) but what would you do in this situation?

Where have all the flowers gone, ermmmm - I mean PEOPLE?
