Are there any diabetic's here?

I'm curious to know if you've found any food items or herbs that you believe have helped contribute to keeping your sugars under control?

I've read that cinnamon works, is this true?

I have gestational diabetes and my sugars are out of control even though I've cut out all sweets and I need to get a handle on it before my doctor puts me in the hospital.

I am meeting with a dietician next week as I did with my first pregnancy but most of the things they tell me to eat make my sugar levels skyrocket.

I've tried insulin treatment in the past but even the lowest dose made me extremely ill so my doctor suggested we have to control my sugars with diet instead.

Looks like I am heading back into therapy full time again. Was out 13 weeks.

Fluid is building up around the steel plate and causing major headaches, dizzy spells, and upset stomach.

I've been casually dating this guy for about 3 months.

My mom and brother are staying with me for about 2 weeks now. Last night I went over to the guy's house and he asked me "so, have you told your family that you're going out with an older guy?" (he's 10 years older). My initial reaction was HELL NO! Why would I tell my family about someone I'm casually dating? So, I just made a joke about his age and changed the subject. But he again asked "have you told them that I'm from NY?". So, I said, "no, we don't discuss things like that" and left it at that. He just said "oh" and looked the other way. I started talking about something else.

I don't get him. It's not like he's told his family about me (well, I don't know for sure) but why ask about mine? Why make it awkward? He sometimes p**** me off!

I never get many attention from guys because I'm overweight. Most people don't like hanging with me. I saw one guy and asked a friend to ask him out for me. He agreed and took me to the movies, let me make out with him and he touched my breasts throughout the whole film. I thought this was my real chance to have a boyfriend and then he just ignored me like everyone else does. Why does this happen to me?

I'm dating a guy that attends a different school. He's 3 hours away from me. We havent been dating for long. and we are not 'officially' bf & gf yet. But we talked about it and he said the next time we see each other in person, we'll make it official (not in a sexual way). So we planned for me to drive up to Pennsylvania for next weekend. Over 5 Billion dollars worth science project!

CERN spent well over 5 billions (exact figure is hard to tell) to run an experiment in a huge machine called Large Hadron Collider. How do you evaluate in moral terms the mentality of spenders at a time when large number of people are facing death from hunger, disease and terrorism. Is this experiment worth more than those lives or those are supposed to take care of themselves. Or suffering will continue whether rich help the poor or not.
About the experiment. It would test the standard model of physics. As the geeks shall rule the world, it is an attempt to confirm the existence of tricky particle, called Higgs boson, which might tell us why fundamental particles are massive. Pretty exciting science. This might settle a very fundamental question of the most fundamental science.
