FLIRT OR NOT TO FLIRT

Ladies>>
I was asked to go to a party with a friend. Now is friend really likes me but i do not like her in the same way. Plus my room mate likes her and she knows it. I get to the party and everyone there is 18 to 22 i am 30. Through out the night i have girl talking and flirting with me. I flirted back but did not go beyond word flirting. Now the friend i went to the party with tells my roomie that everyone at the party was saying sh-t about me. Because i was flirting with the girls who were flirting with me. During the party my friend i went with got drunk and was trying to get with me but i told her no. Was i wrong flirting with the girls who were flirting with me even though they were 18 to 22. Help!!
