Curious question

A topic came up at lunch with friends, talking about a guy we know. Can a wife tell if her husband is gay or bi? Does it come out in other ways, or would she be kept in the dark if the guy wants it that way? I am thinking that cheaters are cheaters, no matter what the gender, and they can hide that part if they choose to do so.
