Yesterday I was at my local Costco buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Biscuit, the Wonder Dog and was in the checkout line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog..

What did she think I had; an elephant? So since I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50
pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter and a car hit us both.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was laughing so hard.

Costco won't let me shop there anymore.

Why is that?

Basically me and my female friend admitted we liked each other a month ago but we didn't do anything after wards cos of Ramadan nor talked about it since. now things have gone back to normal except now she keeps hitting me whenever i say something stupid and calls me names, she even takes my stuff like my hat and forces me to try and get it back; although she does fix my clothes when they are crooked basically whenever i try to show off like if i won a game she would make sure everyone knows that she beat me at it which she did. however whenever we are alone it gets a bit awkward as in we have nothing to say. shes a shy Muslim girl if that helps?

Me-"Well, I hope that you don't end up crying, but I do hope the Broncos win, of course!" A little more conversation...I come in again the following week with a friend to buy something. We talk briefly again. We don't see eachother for a while but do occasionally pass eachother in Safeway and places like that. I'm quite sure that you recognize me and know who I am.

I wanted to ask you out awhile ago but it didn't work out because of timing. I bought a hanky to give you as a joke and folded inside, I put an origami lily I folded with a poem written on it (a little humor, a little 'I like you') asking you out, and my phone number is also written on it.
What day would be best to give this to you, but most importantly, what would you say? Would you call? If you already have a bf then would you call to say so or just not call at all? Would you find this romantic or creapy?

i responded with: no, i would not be in favor of allowing individual businesses to make that choice. cigarette smoke travels, if you smoke a cigarette in the same room as me, i will be affected. as far as i'm concerned non smokers do not wish to take rights and freedoms away from smokers, we just ask that smokers remember that your rights and freedoms stop where our bodies begins. please enjoy your cigarettes in the privacy of your own home.
