I do not have a concealed weapons permit. Consequently, I cannot walk with my hands in my pockets.

Oh SNAP. :|

Carrying a Concealed Weapon....

Does anyone here have their CCW? If so, how often to you carry your weapon? Why did you get it?

I just got mine i honestly...it feels very empowering to walk around with a loaded pistol on your hip. Almost scary..lol

God willing i never have to pull it on someone let alone use it.

Your WEDNESDAY Joke of the day.........

JOKE:

I was waiting tables in a noisy lobster restaurant in Maine when a vacationing Southerner stumped me with a drink order.

I approached the bartender. "Have you ever heard of a drink called "Seven Young Blondes"?" I asked.

He admitted he'd never heard of it, and grabbed a drink guidebook to look it up.

Unable to find the recipe, he then asked me to go back and tell the patron that he'd be happy to make the drink if he could list the ingredients for him.

"Sir," I asked the customer, "can you tell me what's in that drink?".

He looked at me like I was crazy. "It's wine," he said, pronouncing his words carefully, "Sauvignon blanc.".

Its always peculiar to me

that how a person eats says so much about them.

Political types, they pay attention to things like that, or how you dress. We're pretty good at assessing people.

Well, how a person eats says much about them. Most basically, are they healthy types or not. Some people cook and eat well. Others eat what is offered up and eat badly.

And one of the most telling foods, a window to your personality, is how you eat your eggs.

So, how do you like them? Sunny side up? Scrambled? Or the more complicated types? Over easy, soft, boiled, over hard. Some just have them with a lot of cheese. Mostly the junk food types.

So, how do you like your eggs?

Luvshooters Has a little fun at DMV

This coming Thursday I have to take the written drivers test so I figured I had better brush up a bit before going. As many of you know I lost my license early last year due to loss of consciousness from the head injury I sustained from my fall.

Today I went to DMV (Department Of Motor Vehicles), with my walking cane and some dark Sun Glasses on (It's bright and sunny here. I waited in line for the counter to open for me when my # was called.

When my time came I walked up and asked the little girl there for the Drivers Test Manual that they give out. She reached under the counter and brought out a booklet and handed it to me.

Staring straight ahead I run my fingers over the cover then asked: "Do you have this in Braille?"

To my surprise she bent over looked under the counter for a few minutes, rose back up and said : "Excuse me sir, I'll have to check in back". Then she walked away, disappearing into a small side room, that had shelves of paper and booklets.

About 10 minutes later she returned with a elderly woman and a uniformed Security Guard and I was curtly told: "Mr. Luvshooters, leave right now!"

Having pocketed the first book she gave me I left chuckling to the parking lot!

No Humor at DMV.. None!

The last time you had an appliance or furniture delivered to your home

Did they make you wait all day, or were they exceptionally early?

Dogs are such a pain in the neck!

My boyfriend's two dogs jump the fence on a regular basis. They are not neutered, which could add to the problem. He is planning to get the neutered, chipped, and get them tags. (something that should have been done awhile ago, I know.)

They jumped the fence just the other day and were gone for an entire 24 hours before we located them. Luckily a very nice woman took them in and posted something on PetFinder. Lucky break.

They are the type of dog that someone evil would LOVE to steal to sell and/or turn into a "fighting" dog...if you know what I mean. Also, people have a general fear of the breed...so they cannot be running off like this, especially in a big city. Not to mention...I hate seeing my boyfriend so stressed and upset.

Does anyone have any experience training a dog to stop jumping the fence? What worked for you? Any and all ideas are welcome!

Thank you!

Are there any diabetic's here?

I'm curious to know if you've found any food items or herbs that you believe have helped contribute to keeping your sugars under control?

I've read that cinnamon works, is this true?

I have gestational diabetes and my sugars are out of control even though I've cut out all sweets and I need to get a handle on it before my doctor puts me in the hospital.

I am meeting with a dietician next week as I did with my first pregnancy but most of the things they tell me to eat make my sugar levels skyrocket.

I've tried insulin treatment in the past but even the lowest dose made me extremely ill so my doctor suggested we have to control my sugars with diet instead.

Thanks in advance for the answers.
