About Me Essay: Born in a giant cornfield called Williamston Michigan in 64. There were no other people except my mother until I was 5. I rode an old mare by myself at 2. Didn't stop till I was 26. I was raised by dogs and one very protective goose in the day while the parental units worked. Pretty much recovered from that now but I am still a bit Mogli/Dr Dolittle on the inside. Grew up on a farm in Massachusetts. House was built in 1763 and had 8 fireplaces. Firewood was big business for me. We had Beef and Dairy cattle and some of every other animal that survived in that climate. And some African chickens that layed blue eggs too(Arukana?). If you saw the movie Babe, you saw my life in functional terms. My Mom had a Kennel too and did herd sheep with dogs. I had a high IQ pig too. Arnold (Ziffell), just like in the movie, thought like a dog. So, I turned him loose in the daytime with the dogs. And he came back when ever you called him. I showed him how to walk on his hind legs using peanuts. Not a normal pig. So stuff like that went on for the next 15 to 20 years. Went to UMASS Lowell for Civil Engineering. My first steady paid job was for a bigger farm at 10 y/o for $1.35 an hour. Between that and 1988 when I escaped and drove to beautiful sunny Southern California I've had every crappy labor/slave job there is. Unfortunatly I brought a crazy woman with me. I now know that was unnecessary because there are plenty already here. She was Pamela Anderson beautiful and Courtny Love crazy. Psychobitch I. Baby Momma to children 1&2, B&G now aged 15 &13. The next two PB's were found locally. PB II got no wedding but did get $20,000 as a consolation prize. PBIII did get a wedding because she got pregnant. Twice. Two more boys, miracles both since she swore she was sterile. She had 3 boys from previous victims. And the last is of unknown sire because I was gone that month. She turned out to have Borderline Personality Disorder and left in 2004 to become an Outcall Massage Therapist. A Ho. She was a well paid paralegal when I met her but she stopped sleeping with her boss as often or some such game and they started fighting. So she just got pregnant and quit and enjoyed the life of luxury for 4 years. But then the house became posessed by evil spirits. She now hated the house. Loved it before. This was a good excuse for her to have an affair with a 16 year old boy, her/our son's friend and her best girlfriend's son. So then she moved in with her birth mother who refuses to claim her and instead insists she is only her older sister. And took him with her. Twilight Zone music comes to mind doesn't it. I'm looking for a nice Monastary to join at this point. Make wine jelly and read a lot. No gorgeous women. I was a Civil Engineer with Caltrans for 16 years. Now I'm to depressed to work. Caltrans isn't going anywhere. I'm thinking of going back into quarter video games. I did it in college and made good money. Or maybe a laundrymat. I just like quarters. I bought a Blue Mazda RX-8 to raise my spirits. It works. I had it at a steady 120 MPH this morning at 5:00 AM on the 10. It felt like 80. I love that car. The engine is smaller than a keg of beer and sounds like a deep throated Skill saw winding out. Redline is 9000 RPM and you go there all the time. The tires transmit pressure date to the dash. Its safer than the motorcycles. I have several of them too. Even a CX500 Turbo. Also good for extracting Beta Endorphins from your own brain. I and my friend backpacked Europe in 94 for the 50th anv. of D-Day. We actually went to Omaha Beach and, at low tide, went to the waters edge, turned around and ran as fast as we could all the way to the beginning low grassy dunes where you could flop down and call yourself having some cover. You can not believe how lomg a run that is and how totally exposed they were. All the stuff is still there. Bunkers, gun emplacements, Point Du Hock where the Rangers climbed that cliff for no reason cause the guns were gone. It was cool. We went all the way to Budapest,Sicily, back to Paris. Thirty of the finest days in my life. We went to 3000 year old Greek ruins in southern Sicily and whistled the Patton movie music when "he was there". Agrigento I think it was called. Pompei was overwhelming. Its so big and intact. Its a walking around made of cut granite city. We even had a rental dog. Canis Maximus we named him but should have said Canis Fidelis. For some string cheese and scratching behind the ears he stayed with us for 8 hours on a hot and humid late June day. Like he was ours for years. We found the big amphitheater and decided to use it. There's no fence, rope or rules except the boundaries which are strategically manned by local injured mafia workers. So we made weapons from sticks and cardboard and went down to the floor. We had picked up 2 Mormon missionaries and they took the camera all the way up to the nosebleed seats and shot. From that distance we look like Gladiators throwing down. We had so much fun in Sicily we were late leaving by a couple of days. Had to go from there to Normandy in one nonstop leg or loose the free ride(Eurail Pass). The long march. We almost said fuckit and stayed. I often think how different my life would be if we had. |
