Oh, let me see....I'm a disabled veteran retiree, age 66. I've been divorced 37 years (still not long enough!), have 4 grown children, boy (43), girl (41), boy (40), and girl (39). 3 of them live near me in Mass. and my oldest boy lives way up in the wilds of Maine (about 5 hrs) from me so don't get to see him that often. I have 9 grandkids, ages 9 thru 19 whom I have a close relationship with.
I'm a pretty easy going person...just don't ruffle my feathers! I will stick up for what I believe in. I have many friends and a few very close friends whom I've known for well over 30 years or so. I consider myself to be honest, trustworthy, fairly intelligent, funny and sometimes moody but on the whole....am pretty even-tempered. I love to laugh and joke...to me it releases inner tension, but I do have a very serious side when I need to be. I have never been a party goer.....would much rather stay home and watch a good movie or tv show. I enjoy being by myself as well as being with other people. I always keep myself pretty much busy.
I have varied interests: I love art! Love to paint and draw and I'm a very visual person so I see the beauty in just about everything! I also love to read, get togethers with my friends that I used to work with. I'm very family oriented so spend a lot of time with 3 of my kids and granddchildren who live close by me. I love cards and board games, like.....scrabble, cribbage, yahtzee, poker, gin rummy, etc. Playing cards was a ritual in my family while I was growing up. Usually rummy and hearts. Of course back then, we had tv, but we really weren't that much into it like kids are now!.....there was no computers! We were never bored, though, and did a lot of outdoor things with our friends.
I'm not even sure how I happened onto this site. I thing I was internet surfing and came upon this by accident! I've been addicted ever since!! It just has a way of drawing you back here every day. I've met a really lot of awesome people on here! It's just a place to come to when you want to spill your guts or basically just try and help people solve their problems. Don't know how many people take our advice but we at least try and help!
So, I guess that's about it! This is me in a nutshell! Nothing fancy. Just little ole me trying to have fun with all you guys and gals on here!!
